the new donna hay general store opened it's doors last week...and my friend and i went to take a look the first chance we got!

after visiting the donna hay store we paid bills a visit and ate at his darlinghurst restaurant... delicious food for a very affordable price!!! i came home very satisfied!

...easter...

...i find that most weekends i'm doing photos for clients...so with the school routine during the week and just plain being pregnant and tired...i don't get to do some of the creative stuff i enjoy doing just for myself...




i miss my sewing machine...i used to sew all the time...i miss having organised places for things... that all went out the window when i got sick but the only great thing about being sick for 3mths with morning sickness is it gives you lots of time left to think...and my mind is practically overflowing with ideas for the house, a babies room, and sewing projects...of course then i got better and realised how much time it was going to take....so I cheated...a little...i made some of these easter eggs last year and really had fun doing it...but i just couldn't see myself sitting there blowing eggs for hours this easter to make as many as i wanted....so i found some for a pretty good price and bought them :)...my way of justifying it is that...at least i have more time now to start on some of my other ideas!

my friend, Toni, is a designer and has started to make a name for herself! She recently had a magazine spread in the 'Homespun' magazine.



She asked me to take some photos for her pattern covers...i enjoyed doing something a little different...it was fun...if you want to see more of her designs go to her site 'make it perfect'.

my brother-in-law and his fiancee got married on Friday...

...it was a wet day...so some of the ideas we had just weren't going to work...but we did still manage to find a few places that let us keep dry and still take photos!

i think i have a thing for doors...especially blue one's...

so i did a shoot for my friend the other day, i LOVE her front door...

maybe because it reminded me of this door in paris...

i took at least 10 photos in front of this door - i just couldn't get enough of it...we'd walk past it every day on the way back to our hotel.

Christmas....

It's that time of the year again!



I'm fully booked out till Christmas when it comes to photos sessions, but if any of you are wanting to make a family photo into a Christmas card similar to above - then give me a call...I'm happy to do this for you for $5.

Well we've been back for about 3 weeks from our holiday and I will post some photos on here soon but in the meantime I thought I'd share some from part 2 of N&B's shoot...the photo shoot was at our local shopping centre....I was so excited to shoot in this venue as it has the BEST walls...lots of colour for modern shots!

We're here...finally...!

Yes...I've been telling you all for awhile now that my website is nearly up...but as always I should have realised the fine detailing would take a little longer than expected! Sorry for those who have been hanging out for it...I'm so glad it's finally here!

I've done some really fun shoots lately and have been excited for the photos that I've been able to capture! This was by far one of my favourites, apart from being able to shoot somewhere a little different from my usual shoot, the kids were sooo cute AND her daughter has the same name as my daughter - so what's not to love?

This girl is so amazing to photograph and I LOVED her ability to work the camera, she got me so excited as we discussed the kinds of photos she was looking for...my brain wouldn't stop ticking over with some of the ideas I had and this is only part one of her shoot - part two is bound to be just as fantastic!
